International Standards
IGSHPA has led the way in providing a complete set of standards for GHP systems. This 2010 updated edition incorporates all the changes recommended by the IGSPA Standards Committee since 1994, and is a must for everyone involved in the GHP industry. This manual covers design and installation standards for closed-loop ground heat exchangers, pipe placement and backfilling, indoor piping and circulation systems, geothermal heat pumps, and site planning, records, and restoration.

EU Standards
The UK GSHPA has also develped standards to define and maintain a high level of installation quality and maintain the reputation of the industry.

GSHPA Vertical Borehole Standard
The GSHPA Vertical Borehole Standard is now referenced as an authority by the Environment Agency’s Environmental ground source heating and cooling good practice guide and by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme’s MIS 3005.
